What does your Google search history say about you? Like, really?

I don't know about you, but mine says a myriad of things, including that I am a forgetful, uber-inquisitive, hypochondriac creeper or that I am a successful research assistant at a company that no one would ever want to work for other than myself. Amongst many other things, I don't wish for my second-grade teacher to see—sorry, Mrs. Jordan.

I am unsure what we did before things were "searchable." The latter feels like a distant prehistoric time when dinosaurs roamed the earth in skorts with maps and encyclopedias. It was a time when phone numbers and birthdays were committed to memory or, at the very least, jotted in something that historians call an address book.

Before sitting in front of a computer and tying up the phone line while the dial-up internet made the most obnoxious sound that pierced the human ear, I remember going downtown to my local main library and beelining to the same medical journal.

I'd love to say it was for research, but the main reason was to look at this photo of a micropenis - two golf balls on top of a brush. Well, now that curious and giggly 13-year-old has endless medical journals a click away- just saying.

And those endless clicks have made me realize I no longer have to remember anything! Including...

How to get anywhere. How to spell. Hell, we even forget how to be social at times.

My search history has made me realize that I need...To disconnect. To pick up a book. To try some stimulating brain exercises. To revisit the interests I used to enjoy just for fun. To be more aware of my surroundings.

And that maybe, just maybe, I should experience the world around me instead of—well, Googling it.

And more importantly, I think it shows me that we're "all mad here"...

We're all curious, looking for answers, and frankly, a little weird, a little human, and we don't know as much as we'd like to believe we do.

So, what does your search history say about you? I hope it makes you feel more connected to the rest of us weirdos.
