Slapped by the Season

It is hard to believe that there are only twelve days until Christmas. Not only has the time flown, but it feels as if it's held its palm out as it's passed. Did you know that time can slap the piss out of someone? Me either!

Indeed, the season has caught me off guard, but I am taking it as an opportunity. I am releasing myself from the constraints of consumerism and immersing myself in the reprieve.

So this Holiday Season...
I am not engaging in tit for tat gift giving.
I will not apologize for bowing out of events I do not have the capacity or desire to attend.
I will not spend beyond my means.
I will not obsess over details or planning but will delight in the organic.
I will sink into the delight as opposed to the demand.
